Every instance of “Crushing Blow,” except on DRX Slaking, requires a coin flip to discard your opponent’s energy card.

The new tinkaton makes it 2 pokemon that just do it, I’m guessing it’s stage 2s in general

You might happen upon this card while looking at the history of tetsuya koizumi’s contributions to the TCG and assume it’s his last contribution to the TCG – not so. Starting with cards in the F regulation mark block, koizumi adopts a new pseudonym and is credited as Scav.

Very interesting, did the artist post this somewhere? I’m curious how you found out about this because I’ve wondered this about other artists.

They mention it on X ( https://twitter.com/scavvvvv/status/1480313188038160391 ) and if you go back to earlier posts like https://twitter.com/scavvvvv/status/1471686220598374401 you’ll see they say they did the art for cards that have the “tetsuya koizumi” credit.

I’m unsure if these sorts of changes are announced in a central place like the Japanese Pokemon website or their social media… my guess is, probably not. I guess the easiest way to try and find other instances of this is hope that someone has put it in e.g. Bulbapedia.

i actually collected tetsuya koizumi’s cards and was getting frustrated to see he had stopped making cards, and that someone named scav had a nearly identical art style! then one day it clicked and i’m now happily collecting his full library- i’m very happy to have found the raichu and alolan raichu for $50 some time ago!
