Why would you attach a fire? His attack requires fighting. Not that its much a problem, as you’re probably using rainbow anyways. Actually, that makes him 4 types at once (As the card does not say “instead of his usual type.”)

They misprinted, putting Fighting as a Fire. I think they did the same with Blaine’s Charizard.

I kind of figured they did. I wonder if the reason they did that so often was because the person typing the translations out on to the card doesn’t know if [f] means Fire or Fighting, or if they just look to similar in that size.

15 Energy symbols? Is that a record?

I would expect Tyranitar to have the most symbols since its typical attack require at least four energies, so I found a card that has 16 energy symbol:

        Steelix ex has 18:

I don’t know if it’s the record, but I couldn’t find one with more than that yet.

Wow, then I guess the least amount would either be a baby Pokemon or the ditto from the fossil set.

The babies from the HGSS era attack for free, they have only their type symbol.

            Does Clefairy Doll count?

(I still think we should have a typeless Type: Null, though (with the zero energy cost symbol where its type should be). That way, we could have one with no icons, provided it had attacks with no costs and so on. Yeah, it won’t happen…)

Yeah, HGSS babies are crazy. How do you get one symbol and that’s it?

Someone on the Steelix ex page said that Snorlax GX had more symbols still: an impressive 19 Energy symbols.

Nidoking’s Rolling Thunder attack shares its name with a Namco-developed arcade shooter from 1986. I think it’s too idiosyncratic a phrase to be a coincidence. Miracle Sphere 𝛾’s another card which might also be a nod to a video game – its Thunder Force attack shares its name with a shmup game developed by Technosoft and first released for the Sharp X1 in 1983.

That second one might be a coincidence because the Miracle Sphere cards are all alluding to the legendary birds of Generation 1 – i.e. “Thunder Force” is essentially “Zapdos Force” – but it could be an intentional, happy coincidence. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out there are a few other retro game references scattered across the e-Card block.
