The fact that almost all Gen 1 poison types are purple-colored really explains why they chose to switch poison to psychic-type coloring with gen 4.

I know it’s not a unique feature with this set, but this card has nothing in common with the original Nidoking it’s meant to be a pseudoreprint of. Tail Swing appears to be wholly unique for this card, but Rumble is a recurring attack in the TCG. The first time it appeared was actually on the JP-only Giovanni’s Nidoking (CoroCoro promo), so it might be a pretty easily overlooked callback to that?
