As long as Nidoqueen is in play, the Retreat Cost for Nidoran Female, Nidorina, Nidoran Male, Nidorino and Nidoking is 0.
{G} → Toxic
The Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned. Put 2 damage counters instead of 1 on the Defending Pokémon between turns.

0 comments? You’d think Adam would have said something about this deck on here by now.

Hah, I gloated about this card enough back in the day. Toxic was OP against all the Pokemon-ex people were using at the time, Grass Weakness was like having no Weakness, and the pre-Evolutions searched stuff out. Very overlooked card at the time.

OK then, I’ll add a comment seeing as I know someone who’s started playing Nidos. One of the best Nidoqueen cards, the aim of the deck is to get as many Nidoqueens on the bench then a Nidoking (Plasma Freeze or Triumphant) Active. Both have huge retreat costs so this Nidoqueen helps, it also regularly does a decent 100 for 3 if needs be.

This card was so good that it was at the core of one of the winning decks of Worlds 2005!

First Nidoqueen since Skyridge.
BTW, it’s also Nidoqueen’s first Fighting Type card!
Whitmer 4 POTUS
It’s still Nidoqueen’s *only* fighting (ground)-type card

This card is mistranslated; it should only give your in-play Nidoran Female, Nidorina, Nidoran Male, Nidorino and Nidoking free retreat. I’ve confirmed the mistranslation with a Japanese player who plays RS-PK often.
(There’s a Compendium ex ruling for this very interaction; this means the Compendium ruling is wrong, because it’s based on mistranslated text.)
