Poipole, the Nidoran line, and the Gulpin line are the only pure-poison types that haven’t appeared in the TCG since the type change (Psychic to Darkness)

The tragedy with Gulpin is that its green color used to match when poison was Grass-type, and Swalot matched when it was Psychic-type… now neither matches :(

I hope either Nidoran line returns soon–they’ve been a staple of the TCG since base set!
I suspect that TPCi has been a bit reluctant to bring them back, cuz such cute Pokemon may look more *sinister* with the black background!
For instance, the cute artwork on Lost Abyss Mareanie contrasts with the blackness on the card…

They brought them back in 151: https://pkmncards.com/card/nidoran-male-151-mew-032/
This is also the first set since Skyridge to feature Kadabra.
