“Ha! He has a free retreat, so the player can repeatedly switch to other Ninjask to activate the ability multiple times. That will surely be fun for new players.”

Meanwhile, mill and the vast majority of all evolved Pokemon are completely useless in modified, meaning that this limitation makes an already bad card even worse.
I guess it’s ok though, because it isn’t an ultra rare.

Mill in Pokemon has never been viable for Standard. There was Durant, but that was still 4 cards at a time. Now that Lysandre’s Trump Card and Vs Seeker are in almost every deck, Mill just has no chance.

Mill was super viable with durant. It was one of the best decks for half a year when it came out in nvi until darkrai and to a lesser extent heatmor came out in dex. Durant relied on cycling catchers and other disruptive items to mill while the opponent was unable to kill the durant back

No. You can only retreat once per turn. We aren’t in the no-limits-retreat years anymore.

Oh, I didn’t know. I mistakenly thought the rule was that each Pokemon could retreat once.
