This is the second instance of a “Stage 1 hate” card ever printed. The first was Evelyn, part of a trio of supporters that each punished a different evolutionary stage. This card is part of the same kind of trio: Paldean Tauros’s Combat Breed (Fighting-type) punishes Basics, Blaze Breed (Fire-type) punishes Stage 1s, and Aqua Breed (Water-type) punishes Stage 2s.
