Relying on Dimension Heal as a win condition really is WAY too risky to be viable competitively, but you have to admit that the idea of doing 80 and healing 80 each turn (even if it is for the extremely ludicrous cost of GW Nonbasic x4) is badass.

After my musings on Giratina V and its Grass energy use, I checked the energy state of Dialga and Palkia. Dialga uses Psychic and Metal, as I had known, and I thought Palkia used Psychic and Water accordingly. But apparently it uses grass??? wtf??????

This is the only Palkia card to use an energy type besides Water, so future Dragon-type Palkias may change it, but this is truly baffling — far more than Giratina’s Grass. Psychic is literally *the* space type, with Cosmic Power and Lunatone and Cosmog and Olympia’s absurdly fancy cape and Caitlin’s spacey Elite Four room. Not to mention the obvious synergy of all three trio members using Psychic Energy.

yet they went with *Grass*. i cant believe this. smh

Palkia is finally getting a new solo Dragon card that uses 2 energy types in Surging Sparks…and it’s still Grass & Water. I really think they missed an opportunity to have these 3 form a perfect trinity of
Dialga: Metal + Water (it’s blue)
Palkia: Water + Psychic (it’s purple)
Giratina: Psychic + Metal (it’s grey and the mascot of PLATINUM)

Giratina was already a GRASS + PSYCHIC Dragon type tho

I know. I’m saying I feel they missed the opportunity when they decided on the trio’s attack costs 12 years ago. Is it just me or are Grass and Fire disproportionately represented in Dragon attack costs?
