Woah Phanpy is now all the way up to 80HP, double it’s 40HP beginnings! Neo Genesis Donphan only had 70HP & has also more than doubled to 150HP in Silver Tempest.
The Donphan line has always been a great measure of power-creep since it’s been re-trained with the same Earthquake attack multiple times in the form of Aquapolis Donphan (80HP, 30 damage for {F}), HeartGold & SoulSilver Donphan Prime (120 HP, 60 damage for {F}), & recently Vivid Voltage Donphan (150HP, 120 damage for {F}).
If we continue this trajectory the 2028-2030 Donphan will have 180-200HP & it’s Earthquake will do 180-240 damage for {F}…which sounds ridiculous though I’m sure my 2010 self would have scoffed at the 120 damage it does today. By that time Wailord ex or V or EX or Q^5 STARMAXex or whatever will have surely hit the big 400HP as well!
