Poké-BODY ⇢ Sweet Sleeping Face
As long as Pichu is Asleep, prevent all damage done to Pichu by attacks.
{@} → Playground
Each player may search his or her deck for as many Basic Pokémon as he or she likes, put them onto his or her Bench, and shuffle his or her deck afterward. (You put your Pokémon on the Bench first.) Pichu is now Asleep.

Despite its small size, it can zap even adult humans. However, if it does so, it also surprises itself.

Out of the three incarnations of Baby Pokémon (As a separate class of Basic Pokemon from N1-E3, the Baby Evolution PokéPower in the EX series and the Sweet Sleeping Face PokéBody in HS-CoL) this is by far my least favourite. Even if they don’t necessarily see play with their Evolved forms I’d like them in theory to be compatible.

looks like they’ve continued with the tradition of incompatibility with their evolutions. It’s a shame because I really enjoyed evolving babies, especially in the EX and DPPt era where the evolved mons could benefit from having the baby card beneath them in different ways.

Pichu was so popular in Gens 2-4, but once Gen 5 came around, Pichu was never seen in the TCG again.

It makes me really sad that Pichu hasn’t gotten a card in seven years. Seven years!

I don’t think we’ll ever see one again, give the fact they haven’t printed Baby Pokemon since HGSS

This was the most recent Pichu card printed until the Mischievous Pichu card 214/S-P 12 years later.

Wait, the Arceus Pichu was. Silly me..

It’s this one. Mischievous Pichu is a collaboration with a merchandise line and some sort of e-celeb; so we’re incredibly unlikely to get a English translation of the card*. To be clear, it’s not the merchandise collaboration that kills it, rather the e-celeb is depicted in the artwork of the card, and I think it’s safe to assume they have no truck with international audiences. Pichu will continue to go without any new card in the English TCG.
* Ironically(?), an apparent English translation is depicted on merchandise sold as part of the collaboration, so you could buy a mug, a t-shirt, etc. with the English card on it.
