Its programming was modified to enable it to travel through alien dimensions. Seems there might have been an error…

“If Powers and Bodies(and thus, Pokemon Powers as well) were treated as Abilities, this Pokemon’s Ancestral Trait would make it a potential tech in casual unlimited Porygon2 decks”
I thought to myself before realizing that there is now yet another layer of interactions that casual players could have to deal with.

Unfortunately (or maybe not) Abilities are treated as completely separate from Poke-Powers and Poke-Bodies (and by that, Pokemon Powers too), so they have to be dealt with separately. Thing is, You can tech Cessation Crystal in a deck heavily reliant on Abilities without a care in the world.

This is good with Eevee decks.

How so? I don’t see any particular use for it in an Eeveelution deck.

He’s probably thinking of three things:
        -Immunity to abilities
        -A Colorless attack
-The ability to de-evolve an eevee evolution, allowing you more flexibility to deactivate and reactivate Eevee’s types.

Unfortunately, the last bullet point doesn’t do that much good. Changing your type does not change your weakness, so the only thing you would be achieving here is bypassing resistances, and even then this takes a turn and the effect does not actually directly benefit Porygon Z, a stage two Pokemon that you have likely committed a fair amount of resources to bring out.

Regardless which use you would need from it, I think this PorygonZ has little use anyway. All of the best PorygonZ partners are in Expanded, and if you’re already playing in Expanded, you can just use Sableye/Devolution Spray.
