Primal Clash could unironically be described the same way as Alpha Sapphire: “7/10: Too much water.” There are 27 Water type cards in the main set, plus an additional 18 non-Water cards featuring Water type Pokémon and 4 cards featuring the Eelektross line (Which pretty much looks like it lives underwater). That means that 49 out of 160 Pokémon in the main set– close to one third of all the Pokémon–are associated with water.
Guzma
I wonder if Primal Kyogre and Groudon would be permitted to return under the current version of Mega Evolution. I feel like out of all the “super special” forms, the Primals are the least likely to ever return in the TCG. If Dynamaxing or Terastallization ever returns then Eternamax Eternatus and Stellar Form Terapagos would have a good shot of getting new cards since it’s “their” mechanic, and Ultra Necrozma got the best deal since it’s just treated as a Basic alt form that’s even allowed to appear as a single prizer. Plus it already returned once in TCG Pocket.
Even if they’re “allowed” to be represented as Megas in its current iteration, I think they’re unlikely to return simply because there are going to be so many Mega forms now (possibly 100+ after Z-A’s DLC) and these outliers are probably at the bottom of the list. Their best shot at new cards is either something weird like Tag Teams or if Game Freak revisits the Primal Reversion concept in the mainline games, thus forcing the TCG to re-acknowledge it.
