This Pokémon only calms down when there are no other animals or people around—which means no one has ever seen it when it’s not angry.

    I have a feeling there was going to be 32 cards in this collection, since there’s a lot of Pokémon here without their own cards.

      This is one of the few sets to ever really act as a near-perfect 1-to-1 of the set it’s adopting. The 18 cards are made up of 6 groups of 3, and each group of 3 came with a postcard featuring the source art that the TCG cards were cropping for one of the three cards. I don’t really see where they might’ve had room to expand it to a ..32 card set (for whatever reason that number came to you)?

        I think Battle Styles was another rare set that had a near perfect 1-to-1 localization, as well

          All of the BREAK sets at the end of XY were also pretty faithful 1-to-1 of the set they’re adopting

            In terms of what I meant by “near-perfect 1-to-1”, EN Southern Islands has the same set name as the JP set (Southern Islands!), the same supplementary artwork, the set numbering is more or less preserving the same method the JP cards were presented in, etc. There are *some* meaningful differences – the card template (JP uses Base era, EN swapped to Neo) was swapped, and EN made some cards holofoil (there were no holofoils in JP) – but if you’re familiar with JP Southern Island, EN Southern Island will be very familiar.

            Other sets that have come very close that I can think of;
            · BW Dragon Vault is very similar to Dragon Selection – the set names are fairly similar, art for 3 of the 5 EN booster packs use the same models as the JP pack, they preserved every card being holofoil (and printed without any rarity). The only major difference is the EN set adding a 21/20 Kyurem that was originally a JP promo.
            · EN Double Crisis is very similar to JP Team Magma v Team Aqua: Double Crisis. (More or less) the same set name, all cards have the same rarities, same number of holos in the set, booster packs have the same number of cards. Differences include a different logo (because of the different name), different booster pack art (but I think it’s still the same artist?), but I’d give it a “pass” on the whole.

            For the other sets listed off, they’re not quite what I had in mind!
