    Purrloin’s very first card was already portraying it as bipedal — for those who only play the video games, Purrloin had seemed exclusively quadrupedal until XY suddenly had its 3D model stand up on two legs by default. Feels like it was a design quirk added partly to establish a Meowth parallel. Which is ironic, given Meowth was originally characterized by the anime as being naturally quadrupedal with Team Rocket’s Meowth being an oddity, though this distinction has seemingly been abandoned.

    In any case, I definitely think it looks better on all fours :v
