That card’s seeing more and more play recently… not sure why it didn’t before XD
Just having another good Pyroar makes the other one more playable as you can run a thicker line now.
(I’m assuming we’re talking non-Standard formats seeing as Surprise! Time Machine is involved :P)

A similar ability appeared 5 years later on TEU Ninetales–except that one allows you to discard {R} energies from your HAND, instead of from the Pokémon (in this case, Pyroar).
