What was up with reprinting the Sandstorm Ralts for Dragon Frontiers? Never understood this.

There were 4 non-Delta Species Pokemon in this set. They were all from Japan’s Shockwave & Imprison preconstructed decks (which featured Tyranitar ex delta and Gardevoir ex delta, respectively); these decks were printed alongside the Japanese counterpart to Dragon Frontiers, and TPCi decided to include those cards in this set.

Now that I think about it a little more, the 4 non-delta cards could’ve easily been POP promos instead; this set would’ve still had (delta) Ralts/Kirlia and Larvitar/Pupitar for the exs to evolve from.

Looks like the Larvitar & Pupitar are reprints from Expedition, that’s even weirder to me. I assume it was supposed to be a cool theme showcasing Delta Species with their “original” counterparts in the construction decks; TPCi then needed to include them in the US set for consistency.

I can definitely appreciate the random E-Card reprints, that’s always cool to see.
