Records exist of a revived fossil that evolved into Rampardos. It proceeded to escape and then destroy a skyscraper with a headbutt.

Is this actually as good I think it is with three F energy? I like this card.

Both the fact that its attack costs 3 fighting with no real way to accelerate it in SUM-on standard, and that its a stage 2 Pokémon that evolves from a fossil makes this Pokémon less than stellar. The effect is really cool though.

Rampardos’ main issue is that it is a Stage 2. [G] Weakness probably isn’t helping, given that every time one [G] Type attacker falls out of favor, it seems like another shows up (or returns from hiatus), like Golisopod-GX. Why do I bring these things up? Yes, it would be better if Rampardos could easily get [FFF] attached to itself, but it does have Counter Energy available, it is only worth one Prize when KO’d itself, and probably has a slow start. Plus, its first attack can OHKO Zoroark-GX for a single Energy.
So there are at least some answers to the Energy aspects of the card. This makes me think something else must also be contributing to the problem.

I think the problem is the Mysterious Fossil, you can’t search it out with Ultra Balls, but you still need Ultra balls to search Cranidos/Rampardos. It makes the deck too clunky.
