    Pickup power is at its worst when you are near the start of the game and basically have an empty discard pile in most cases. Fire mane is at its worst in the end game, when 20 damage is just terrible. Weird…and not that great.

    11 years later and I still don’t understand why this card top 4’d worlds in juniors in 2010. Teched into gyarados…without fire energy…

      Oh, interesting! My only guess (assuming it isn’t an error in the booklet) is that it’s to weaken the attack of opposing Kingdra Prime. Now, whether that’s good/necessary is another discussion altogether…
