I noticed some cards like Red Card say, “AND draw X cards”, but other cards like Peeking Red Card say, “THEN draw X cards”.
In the Pokemon Trading Card Game, I know “if you do” usually denotes a cost, but is there a difference between a card saying, “AND **do something**” vs. “THEN **do something**”?
I’m just wondering because in some games like Yugioh there’s a difference between the two.

In Pokémon, there aren’t effects that trigger in-between actions of a single card. So, while “then” implies a separate action, it has no practical uses.

Thanks Elias, you get a vote up. :)

The easy answer is: yes there is a difference, but here they imply that they shuffle, then draw, then net result being their hand changes to 4 different cards.
