There used to be a time where running multiprize cards were a risk/reward – yes, they were typically more powerful, but many Pokémon had attacks that did additional damage when targeting Pokémon-ex, and they weren’t able to take advantage of the additional effects of cards like Double Rainbow Energy and Fluffy Berry. The amount of damage that Regenerative Energy heals isn’t enough for it to make an impact on the format either way, but this card is worded the exact opposite of how I’d expect to see a Special Energy Card function.

What’s funny is that time wasn’t even that far in the past. Back in XY, Mega Evolution ate up a turn. Cards like Bridgette could only search for 1 EX instead of 3 basics. Come SwSh, VMax evolution can be done like normal evolution (though I guess 1 extra prize card is drawback enough) and cards like Adventurer’s Discovery make Bridgette look like a chump. Obviously things were never so extreme as they were in the original EX era, but now it seems like all restraint has gone out the window.
