This is an attacker that benefits from XY Primal Clash’s “Silent Lab” card. Perhaps that’s why its attack is designed to cancel out that loophole??

Nope. Silent Lab rotated when Shining Legends was released, which was before Crimson Invasion. But there were still ways to cancel Abilities, like Garbodor BKP or Alolan Muk SUM.

I just noticed there’s a tiny little Minccino tucked away in the illustration, just above the left (our right) leg! How has it taken me this long?

Come to think of it, the reason is probably the way Kouki Saitou thickly outlined Regigigas, but barely outlined the minuscule Minccino at all. That, along with its size and grey color, let it almost blend into the rocks when viewed at a casual glance.
