Search your deck for a Pokémon with Dark in its name, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

Did not know this existed. Assumed the The Boss’ Way was a good option for a Rocket deck. How wrong I was

I like the custom evil team Poké Balls.

Could this be used to search Darkrai in unlimited

I’m pretty sure recent cards that say things like “Search your deck for a card with Ball in its name” have been ruled to search only for cards with the word “Ball” so you can’t get something such as “Bursting Balloon”. So I assume it can only get a Pokemon with the actual word Dark and not one where dark is a piece of the whole name.

I can no longer find the ruling – Team Compendium’s website recently changed its setup – but yes, it was ruled they must have the full word “Dark”, parsed in that manner and in the correct place. Originally, players were asking about a Legendary Pokémon, but not Darkrai.
Instead, years earlier, players asked about Rocket’s Zapdos (Gym Challenge) and card effects with a similar name requirement. If that sounds odd, remember that the Dark-in-name mechanic debuted in the Team Rocket expansion, just two sets before Gym Challenge. There were many cards that worked with Dark-in-name Pokémon, but not those with “Rocket’s” in their name. Rocket’s Zapdos was one of the best, so they tried using the fact it had the letters “d”, “a”, “r”, and “k” in its name (in the wrong order, as parts of other words) to try and get it counted. XD

Now that’s stretching it lol. I understand the Darkrai issue, but if we were allowed to scramble the letters around that would be a whole different story

What makes this card better than “The Boss’s Way”? Dark Celebi I guess…
