Best of the three Starter Pokemon, don’t you agree?

Kitty>Owl>Seal
Though once again we’ve got a generation where I am quite pleased with each. ;)
…or was this actually an argument over competitive play? Don’t know about the VG, but for the TCG the versions we’ve seen of each starter are more or less the usual filler. The three in the actual Sun & Moon expansion just change out the names Types, Weaknesses, and attack names (but not costs or damage). For the promo versions, Popplio is the best, but I use the term loosely; 60 HP (instead of the 70 of its main set counterparts) but its attack leaves the opponent’s Active Asleep (and is overpriced for doing that). Still, when it comes to such cards, a slight improvement at surviving your next turn is usually the best for which one may hope.

I was moreso referring to Decidueye GX being the most playable of the three Starter Pokemon-GX cards.

Ah, okay. I figure soon we’ll be overwhelmed with variations of these starters, so regardless of which final Stage is best, I wasn’t connecting that with them. None of the Stage 2 Pokémon for the starters are overly impressive to me. I could just be a bit jaded, and besides it is still a bit early to tell.
Decidueye-GX has a nice Ability and can make use of Forest of Giant Plants, a possibly decent 90-for-three attack, and a GX attack that is a better Junk Hunt… or would be except its on a Stage 2 AND is only available once per game. Primarina-GX has a nice first attack and could make use of Archie’s Ace in the Hole (in Expanded), but its second attack might just be worth the cost of what it does, while I’m hard pressed to see how its GX attack will prove all that handy (keeping a lot of injured stuff alive to mass heal, and you still give up an attack even if it works). Incineroar-GX just has a good first attack, a decent second attack, and a good GX attack. So yeah, still going with the kitty. :)

Looks like “Leafage” in the TCG debuted in Gen VII, along with the video game move: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Leafage_(move)
