Burrows deep underground in arid locations far from water. It only emerges to hunt for food.

Yes, it’s terrible, but it was also Nintendo’s little way of saying that it knew the TCG would last beyond the first set.
Blob Takeshi
This was the last Base Set card I saw.

I see in the card text, it says if tails this attack dies nothing. But in the description, it says that attack. Is there an errata?
JP
Later printings of Sandshrew do say “that attack”. Unfortunately the site doesn’t have a good way to deal with errata–it’s pretty inconsistent, especially for cards that were actually corrected in later printings.
Chris P
Ah, I see the BS2 printing was corrected. Not a big deal as it’s hardly played now days, but I just found it odd. Thanks!
JP
No worries–going over old cards in detail is what this site is all about! Note also that the non-shadowless (“shadow-ful”?) Base Set 1 printing of this card is also corrected.
Chris P
So it’s only the shadowless one that is flawed?
JP
Only 1st-edition and non-1st-ed shadowless printings have the error.
