This is the first (1st) time this card (Sandshrew) has been in a Gen 2 (Generation 2) “set”.

This card (Sandshrew) has been re-printed two (2) times.

This is a Gen 1 set, even though it was released during Gen 2.

        Hence me saying “set”.

TCG Generations are kind of weird. If it wouldn’t mess everyone up, I’d call at least the two Gym expansions, if not the original Team Rocket set as well, the second generation of the Pokémon TCG. They do things differently enough from Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, and Base Set 2. Especially if we draw the line AFTER the Team Rocket set: the card template’s changed and Stadium cards were officially added. ;)

The Legendary Collection is a set featuring only Gen I Pokémon, but it was released after the Gen II focused Neo-block of expansions. Call it what you will.
