They shoot paralyzing liquid from their head bumps. They use vibration to hurt their opponents.

It’s kind of dumb that the value of this card was manipulated because people thought they’d ban it.

B-but that would actively reduce – No. I refuse to dedicate any braincells to parsing scalper logic.

Sadly the collecting part of the hobby has collectively become dumber and dumber as more and more people come in looking to make money. TPC is smart enough (smarter than WotC) to make sure nothing that’d even imply cultural insensitivity or would cause actual controversy would be allowed.

Maybe I’m just sheltered, but I can’t even guess what the concern for this art would be. And frankly, if Jynx art like this can continue to see the light of day, there’s no way they’d ever do anything about Seismitoad.
Oh no, I’m spending braincells on scalper logic.
Dark Souls
My friend sold this for like 150 dollars to a game store and I tried to sell him my regular arts and he wouldn’t pay anywhere close to what my friend got for the secret rare he offered me a penny a card and I think that’s kind of a rip off if this is playable and a hundred fifty I should have gotten at least a dollar offer for the regular or reverse holos
Charmaster
But Seismitoad BLK 21 IS only worth pennys! The value of the secret rare has nothing to do with playability… the card has ZERO recorded instances of competitive play on limitlesstcg’s data base (https://limitlesstcg.com/cards/BLK/21)! The reason why this card is worth $180 (The store naturally wouldn’t pay your friend the full value since they’d still have to resell it for a profit, but it sounds like he got a good price for it) is because 1) https://pkmncards.com/artist/shinji-kanda/ is a super popular illustrator due to their bizarre style, 2) art rares in Black Bolt and White Flare were scarcer than other Scarlet and Violet sets due to there being several times more of them to pull, and 3) there is a precedent for this artist’s rarest cards being far more expensive than most of their peers (See Shinji Kanda’s Giratina V and Magikarp full arts).
So basically the reason why your regular and reverse holofoil Seismitoad from this set aren’t worth anything is because almost nobody is playing them in decks or going out of their way to buy them for their collections, and because they are just as common as any other modern uncommon. Except for the Master Ball pattern Seismitoad. That one sells for $10 on TCGPLAYER, since the Master Ball reverse holos are a rarer variant (About twenty times rarer) of the Poké Ball reverse holos in this set and some people wanting to own all 172 of them so they can complete a “master set” of Black Bolt and White Flare (Which means owning every variant of every card in the set).
