    Shiftry’s giant fan
    Disrupts, but relies on flips
    All ’round, not too great

This kind of ability would be much better with a basic, considering the type of deck that runs it. Or, at the very least, in a format where Candy used its original text.

I’d be much happier deleting Vileplume with Palkia & Dialga LEGEND · Triumphant (TM) #101.

If the Devolution Spray reprint is more like Hyper Devolution Spray · Neo Discovery (N2) #73, this would be a very fun card to play, along with some Super Scoop Up and Seeker · Triumphant (TM) #88.

This card reminds me a lot of Donphan. It starts out as a card that nobody thinks will be competitive. Then, a future Summer set introduces a new card that absolutely breaks it.

      What card broke it?

Forest of Giant Plants · Ancient Origins (AOR) #74. You can now theoretically win T1 by getting rid of all your opponent’s Pokemon.

Does FGP allow you evolve into dark? Is it the pokemon being evolved has to be grass, or the evolution has to be grass, or both?

The text for Forest of Giant Plants states that the Pokemon that evolves has to be a Grass Type. It does not matter what Type the Pokemon it evolves into is. For example, you could evolve a Grass Pineco into a Metal Forretress, but not a Water Lombre into a Grass Ludicolo.

Fair enough. Fortunately its a stage 2 though, and a flip. So you need a lot to go right to get a T1 win.

Was this card the primary reason that Forest of Giant Plants was banned? 🌳 🌳 🌳

This is the first ever banned card to be unbanned. This is, of course, not including the reprint of Neo Genesis Sneasel in Undaunted, since the cards are slightly different.
