Not too bad, it can use the power from the bench. One less energy in that attack and I’d probably use this.

There’s no clause on forbidding multiple Fan Away, and it can be used from the bench. Does that mean you could get 4 Shiftry out in play and return up to 4 energy to your opponent’s hand every turn for free?
Granted he’s a stage 2, and not a stage 1 like Slowking, but this seems pretty damn disruptive.

I checked my Grass Pkmn card collection today, and was surprised to see I have this card. I love it. Shiftry is such a cool ‘mon. :D

Shiftry is such an interesting case because the non-ex prints had HP on the higher end for a Stage 2, while the ex prints had HP on the lower end. The retreat costs also seemed to go down as time went on. It’s always interesting looking at how the design team refines and builds themes around a specific species. Though since the beginning they knew Shiftry should have some sort of disruptive “fan” ability!
