The tuft on its head holds water. When the level runs low, it replenishes the tuft by siphoning up water with its tail.

I’m glad Pokemon didn’t mess up the possessive on this one. I’m sure a few kids flunked English thanks to Cyrus’s Conspiracy.
Pikey
The possessive on Cyrus has always annoyed me…
Curtis
Other way around. “Cyrus’s” is correct. “Grass’ ” is not. You only drop the S at the end of a possessive if its a plural. One of the perks of having a first name that ends in S is knowing how possessives work.
Adam Capriola
Cyrus is singular, isn’t it?
Curtis
Indeed. That’s why he keeps the S at the end.

I’m pretty sure they’re both correct. I learned in school that s’s and s’ are the same, but I heard the rule used to be different.
Curtis
Well for something like Jesus’s and Jesus’, both are correct, due to the older version of the rule. Under current English grammar rules, singular possessive nouns ending in S are supposed to have ” ‘s” at the end.
