All cards in the Pokémon GO set have a ©2022 Niantic in the byline alongside the usual copyright byline for the SWSH era of the series, unless the GO logo is omitted. It’s not surprising to think that Niantic negotiated to retain creative copyright of original concepts and characters created for the game, but it is interesting that this is maintained even on a card like this, where the artwork has no overt reference to GO other than the logo. Does Niantic actually retain copyright control of use of the logo? lol.

Interesting thoughts. I recall that the small tie-in set for Pokémon Rumble also featured that game’s logo on the cards. But in that instance, there wasn’t any special acknowledgment/credit on the bottom of the cards.
