It’s got a lot of potential early game for energy fixing tera Pokemon that require 3 different kinds of energy to use an attack. Once you get to that board state you need to be at with energy, you can either retreat him or play switch on him for the Pokemon you put the energy onto.

The attack is just meant to be an extra bit of niche utility on a Pokémon that’s already an outstanding consistency card. I think the most relevant it has been was allowing you to power up Regidrago VSTAR under Item Lock from opposing Budew PRE, when you couldn’t use the Teal Mask Ogerpon ex / Energy Switch combo. (Also, if you were playing against the Brute Bonnet PAR / Binding Mochi / Precious Trolley toolbox, your opponent wouldn’t be able to poison their own Budew without leaving it vulnerable to a Knockout from Motivate!)

Found in Trainer’s Toolkit 2024. Love that there’s not much difference between this promo and Squawkabilly’s regular card art (Pal169); kinda funny when you consider they have an option to just change its colors but didn’t.

Historically the TCG has been REALLY bad at showcasing Pokémon forms. The most extreme example is Alcremie. There are 869 form variations of Alcremie, and Pokémon has featured… one. Across all twelve Alcremie cards.

We also haven’t gotten every Furfrou or every Vivillon, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
