This guardian deity of Melemele is brimming with curiosity. It summons thunderclouds and stores their lightning inside its body.

I dont like the design of Tapu Koko, but i really love this card in particular, because it combines perfectly with an enormous quantity of Pokémon.
· Tapu Koko/Kingdra: till the date, this deck is one of my favorites. In early, Koko have the job of weakening the foe’s Pokémon with his simply but powerful attack, leaving the groud ready for BUS Kingdra’s Brine.
· Tapu Koko and GRI Gliscor works under a similar premise. Both decks have the peculiarity that can use Max. Potion for a better performance.
· Other creature that can use the power of Tapu Koko to his favor is SLG Shining Arceus. The Alpha Pokémon can be supported by FLI Malamar to charge his energies while Koko make his art.
· Actually im using the Land Spirit Pokémon with CES Exploud, nothing to say, i love it.
· Another combination that i used was Tapu Koko/CIN Gengar/GRI Honchkrow. In that time we have Evosoda, so i can combine my evolutive lines with Po Town, piling up the damage in the opponent’s zone for then kill off with Honchkrow, specially EX and GX creatures.
Now i’ll use Tapu Koko with DRM Milotic… a creature that seems a little heavy to me, because it require 3 energies of the same color, nothing of DCE for us, but his damage is consistent, and we have Aqua Patch to our credit… ane maybe, MAYBE DRM Quagsire.
Can someone suggest another Tapu Koko combination? Im all ears.

I’ve seen Tapu Koko/Kyruem NVI actually work in Expanded with the right trainer and energy engines. Janky, but bench protectors are uncommon. Ironically, Tapu Koko also pairs ok with Tapu Koko LOT and Tapu Koko-GX.

Were there any good cards in the meta at this time that had a {L} weakness?

Quick perusal using format:prc-on-standard-2017 weakness:L
Mega Rayquaza EX, probably? Shaymin EX was definitely good, but you weren’t usually going to get a chance to attack it. The problem is ROS Altaria 74 had an Ability that cancelled the Weakness for both of those cards.

Gotcha. I recall that Steam Siege Talonflame was also popular in that format, but then you run into the “Clear Humming” Altaria problem again.
