Okay, so there was originally a subcategory of Trainers called Technical Machine, which included everything from blocks to orbs to slabs to… whatever the Hidden Legends ones are. https://pkmncards.com/type/technical-machine/ They existed alongside Pokémon Tools as a Trainer subcategory, and notably you could have as many Technical Machines attached to a Pokémon as you liked, even if they already had a Tool attached. This was particularly important for the https://pkmncards.com/card/porygon-z-diamond-pearl-promos-dp35/ (https://ptcgarchive.com/2009-decks/#porygon-z ), which did more damage for each Technical Machine attached to Porygon-Z and was a direct counter to the popular https://pkmncards.com/card/flygon-lv-x-rising-rivals-rr-105/ decks of the day.
Confusingly, not all of these Technical Machines had Technical Machine in their name, and after the Technical Machine category was abolished, there were a lot of Tool cards released that would let the Pokémon use the attack printed on the card (Including GX attacks), most of which did not have Technical Machine in their name either. https://pkmncards.com/?s=%2Btext%3A%22use+this+attack%22+type%3Atrainer
If we’re saying about cards with Technical Machine in their NAME, Burma is correct, there hasn’t been one printed since https://pkmncards.com/card/team-galactics-invention-g-107-technical-machine-g-rising-rivals-rr-95/ , which was lost in the emergency rotation before 2011 US Nationals. But if we’re talking about Technical Machine the sub-category, Twylis is correct, this card is not a Technical Machine, Technical Machines are still dead, and they will probably STAY dead until the end of time.
(Cosmos is wrong either way, though admittedly this IS a confusing topic if we’re not defining terms clearly. I assume Cosmos was thinking we were talking about both Technical Machines AND Tools that gave Pokémon attacks. Or maybe he was remembering the Mystery Plates as scrolls, which they kind of are. Pre-papyrus scrolls, I mean.)

I was making the point that “Technical Machines”, a feature of the Pokémon universe that has appeared in the video games since Gen 1, was absent from the TCG between Gen 4 and Gen 9. That’s just a fact! Idk why you’re being so toxic

Those definitely act like the original TMs from the E-Reader TCG era! But for whatever reason the “Technical Machine” moniker didn’t come back until Gen 9.
