A pretty sweet card, to put it lightly. haha. So why no comments?
I’m curious: my friends and I all built cool new Dark type decks when Dark Explorers released. One of my best friends decided to be clever and tech this beast into his Dark deck. Needless to say, he was very difficult to stop! (I lost 2-3 vs him, mostly b/c of this single card!).
What are the best counters to Terrakion, besides the obvious Grass weakness?
Tornadus?
Quarter-Turn
The most common, and easily splashable techs, are Tornadus and Tornadus EX because of their colorless typing, resistance, and access to Eviolite.

I thought so! Shaymin EX and Virizion were the other cards that came to mind (though Virizion isn’t a good option).
Quarter-Turn
“The other Virizion” (EPO 17) is another option that has shown up in a couple CMT lists. With Eviolite, and healing 60+ per turn, it can really tank.

It’s true that Terrakion can’t one shot Virizion EP 17. Also, it seems that many pkmn that can “heal as much damage” as they do, are pretty useful!

Man I am LOVIN’ this card! I’ve tech’d one each into three different decks, ALL with positive results! Unless of course he’s my only Basic during that opening hand…and I go second…and don’t draw any Fighting energy…or a Switch…So I scooped and walked away. *EPIC FAIL*
