Surely they could have modified it in some way. Any way. I mean, why not something along the lines of:
“Draw 2 cards. Switch your active pokemon with one of your benched pokemon, if you have any benched pokemon.”
At the very least that would have some added flavor.

The issue is that the current ruleset dictates that functionally identical trainer cards with different names cannot be used alongside one another. You can’t even run this as Cheren #5-8…

You can use Cheren and Tierno, however the above rule only applied to Sycamore and Juniper.
