It’s interesting that Togepi, a Pokémon who was best known as being carried around by a Water-type Gym Leader in the anime, ended up getting a Water-type Delta Species card. This wouldn’t be the first time the anime informed some of the card game’s choices (e.g. Brock’s Vulpix and Zubat), so it’s not necessarily a coincidence.
