Poké-POWER ⇢ Firestarter
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may attach a {R} Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your Benched Pokémon. This power can’t be used if Typhlosion is affected by a Special Condition.
{R}{R}{C} → Evaporating Heat : 60
Discard a {W} Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon.

It attacks using blasts of fire. It creates heat shimmers with intense fire to hide itself.

MUCH better version of N1 Typhlosion #17…

The attack is…oddly specific.

You mean Poké-Power?

Necro’d, I know, but the best part of using that attack is discarding a DRE with it.

Error: Attack says “Discard a [W] Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon”, not “Discard a [R] Energy…”

Good catch. Thanks!

Interesting how 2007 had two different cards with the Firestarter Poke-Power with both this Typhlosion and Power Keepers Blaziken. If you really wanted to you could build a deck that retrieved 6 fire energy from the discard pile every turn. Unfortunately neither Blaziken nor Typhlosion could really benefit from that much recursion.
