If you have the bench space, I guess you could use one of this alongside Unown R for even MORE deck thinning pokemon ,but you really have better choices for that

Ruin Wall has the same effect, but as a trainer. I would (and have) use it instead for something like that.

If nothing else, It helps you spell out J O I N for Uknown J’s effect.

This would actually negate Unown R’s effect since you had to play Unown R from your hand in order to use. Of course, we never got Unown R in English anyway.
Unless you’re referring to a later printing of Unown R?
