Pokémon Power ⇢ [Metal]
Whenever a {M} Pokémon damages 1 of your Pokémon, reduce that damage by 30 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). This power stops working if you have more than 1 Unown M in play. (This power works even if Unown M is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.)
{P} → Hidden Power : 10
· Unown rule: You may have up to 4 Basic Pokémon cards in your deck with Unown in their names.

Their shapes look like hieroglyphs on ancient tablets. It is said that the two are somehow related.

Here’s an interesting factoid: some Neo-era Unowns have Pokemon Powers that stay active through special conditions, much like Abilities do from Gen 5-present.
Others (like this one here) shut down when Unown gets asleep/confused/paralyzed. I imagine it’s a “nerfing” effect applied to stronger Pokemon Powers?

It doesn’t seem like any of the Neo-era Unown Powers stop working if they’re affected by a Special Condition.
More notably, this is one of the 3 Unown Powers that WOTC appears to have deliberately mistranslated, as per the conversation on Unown D and, prior to that, TCGOne’s errata list¹. (The three are Unown M, Unown D, and Unown N.)

Oh, you’re right–I misread the last sentence! Very consistent that they *all* stay active through special conditions.
