“Miracle Dust is an attack which made its debut on Venomoth SK 111. Attacks with “Miracle” in their name are usually those which can induce one or more Special Conditions at the choice of the user, a convention which I outlined in the comments of Team Aqua Technical Machine 01, and turns out to have actually debuted on G1 Erika’s Gloom (#45).
On the comments of several others cards, I’ve mused that the rationale seems to be that if Miracle Berry can cure any Special Condition, then Miracle Attacks must be able to inflict any Special Condition. As a slight caveat to this, the original name of Miracle Berry was きせきのみ [𝐊𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐤𝐢 𝐧𝐨 𝐌𝐢], whereas these Miracle attacks are using the katakana for the English word “”Miracle”” – ミラクル [𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞]. It’s hard to think of a way to translate きせき as anything OTHER than miracle, so I think the association *is* intentional, but it actually might be one that ends up easier to notice in the English edition of the TCG.
