I was going to comment on the awkwardness of collect fire’s relationship with its evolved form, but I think the relationship between the art and the text here is a lot more interesting.
It’s actually looking for fire energy inside of the berry..and there’s a 50% chance of such an awkward tactic actually WORKING. It looks like energy isn’t just some vague sort of representation of how powered up a pokemon is…it’s actually a PHYSICAL THING that can be harvested . Interesting storytelling going on, here
After seeing the trailer today, I was seriously hoping for some Alola Forme cards. I feel like since we’re going back to dual typing, there are many opportunities to shake up the meta with these insane new typings we’re getting. (Fire/Poison, Grass/Dragon, Ice/Fairy, etc)
