   I imagine the NOA meeting for localizing Woobat’s name went something like this
   Reggie Fils-Aime: “Alright, next we have a new bat Pokemon.”
   Random Nintendo employee #1: “Don’t we already have a bat Pokemon line? Have we already forgotten about Zubat?”
   Reggie: “No, I think we remember who Zubat is, but I think that’s a good place to start with a name. We’ll move the first letter back in the alphabet until we reach a good one.”
   Employee 2: “Yubat?”
   Reggie: “What did you call me?”
   Employee 2: ” I didn’t call you anything, sir. All I did was suggest we name him Yubat.”
   Reggie: “Call me a bat one more time and you’re fired.”
   Employee 2: “I’m only pitching the name Yubat.”
   Reggie: “Go get your stuff. Your services are no longer needed here. Now back to the Pokemon names”
   Employee 3: “What if we called him Xubat. You know, like Zubat, but with an X instead of a Z.”
   Reggie: “So we’re two Pokemon the same thing, with a minor spelling difference? We tried that with Seel and Spheal already.”
   Employee 3: “Well, I tried.”
   Employee 4: “What about Wubat?”
   Reggie: “PERFECT! Although we’ll have to spell it with an ‘oo’ instead of a ‘u’ so nobody will suspect a thing. Then we’ll call his evolution Swoobat. It will seem like we never even thought about Zubat in the process.”
