I just noticed that the little white circle around the energy costs was removed in the Gen 9 TCG (Scarlet/Violet). It’s a shame–I thought it was a nice touch!

I agree completely. I generally like the SV card layout, but this change baffles me. I thought the white energy outline looked great, it helps the symbols stand out from the background.
