With “no” he means he is too stupid to understand the power level of this card, it obviously is a really strong attack, especially now with Dark Patch gone and Battle Compressor in the format.

He might mean that he just doesn’t like using the card, possibly because he doesn’t like using Darkness Pokemon, or because he prefers dark patch to this card.
While Oblivion Wing is good, it relies on the presence of Darkness energy in your discard pile. If your discard pile lacks the energy you need, you won’t benefit from it. 30 for D is great for an unevolved pokemon, but this thing isn’t something you can throw around without thinking. Of course, it’s definitely one of the better cards in the format: in the right deck, it’ll accelerate your game or help you stabilize between EXes..so, as Walrusaurus said, anyone running a Darkness type deck should be using at least one of these guys in the current format.

Darkness Blade also provides a good option to KO Safeguarders like Sigilyph and Suicune. 100 for 3 on a non-EX just isn’t bad in general. Combine that with Fighting resistance and 130HP, and 1-3 copies of this is worth including in any Darkness deck.
